Gathering at the River

We know that the emergence of COVID has changed some of the ways we gather. As a leadership team, we continue to prayerfully seek the direction of the Holy Spirit in response to any changes in recommendations provided by our local government officials or community leaders regarding the health and safety of our family and community.

We commit to continue to take cleaning and sanitization of our building surfaces seriously, and to provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the building. We encourage everyone who attends services in our building to practice safe healthy hygiene, such as coughing into an elbow or sleeve, washing hands frequently, respecting personal distance from others as needed.

Finally, we ask that anyone experiencing illness, particularly symptoms of COVID-19 or those who have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please remain home and watch the livestream of our services. If you do develop COVID-19 symptoms within two days of attending in-person services, please contact the church office at 816-356-7400 or by email to

Thank you for your continued cooperation and grace in helping us to continue gathering in person safely.

Diving into the River (formally known as Ramping into the River)

Have you ever wondered about the History of the River or more info about “what is Foursquare”?  How can I get more involved at the River?  What is the River all about? Well, we have developed a 3 part class that will answer those questions.  Starting in Sept. 19, Oct.17, Nov. 21; after the Sunday morning service; we will have class discussing history or the River, info about Foursquare and how to jump into the River and get involved.  You can take these classes in any order and it is also a great way to become a Member of the River. More info to come. Questions email

High School Studies – Starting Nov. 1

We are starting a new group for High Schoolers only.  Monday nights 6pm at the church.  In a time where information is everywhere and a chorus of perspectives are always present; now more than ever, we need to develop that Anchor that grounds us to the Truth of God’s Word. In this group, we seek to engage hard questions in order to know more about God and grow in deeper relationship with Him.  Questions email Julia or Matt at

Young Adults Group – Starting Nov. 6

We are starting a new group for Young Adults; Upperclassmen-College Age.  The first Saturday of every month we will meet at the church at 10am.  We are starting Nov.6th! Adulting is hard! No matter how prepared you feel, it is challenging to make that transition from living at home, to going to college and starting your life on your own. Our goal, is to create a community around this stage. Where young adults who are starting off can share the struggles and encourage each other. And those who haven’t quite taken those steps can have an extra team to support and cheer them on as they take their first steps. Questions email Julia or Matt at
